Avatars

How to differentiate nudity from graphics?

I started this dA account as an outlet for some of my creations that differ from my usual faire. The primary focus of this account and its art is digitally simulated nude art. I have seen many artists who are fortunate enough to have the freedom to photograph nude models at their leisure. I am not among them. I do not regret my current station in life but I do realize that it requires certain sacrifices. One of those is that a certain degree of anonymity must be maintained if I wish to publish some of the pieces of "art" that I construct.

I had created an avatar when I created this account that was purely digital in nature. Granted, at very small resolutions it is difficult to differentiate between real and rendered nudity. I just have one simple question:

Since dA can easily filter out artworks that have the "mature content" tag on them, why can't members also be allowed to have that same filter on dA avatars?

I regret that my previous avatar was unfit for public viewing (though, in truth, the naughty bits were actually wire-frame renders) so I will be publishing the complete avatar in its original size soon (soon being a relative term, proportional to the degree of my sobriety and the level of my give-a-shit-ometer).

Eat, DRINK a shitload!, and go BUCKS! HA!

Thanks for the visit! You've got some excellent renders here - I'll be back.

When I first came to dA, I was drawn to nude photography too, and when I started posting renders, that was what I tried to emulate. I gradually moved toward a style that worked better for me. Glad to see that you have stayed the course though!

So I see you fell victim to the DA Avatar Digital Titty Police too! :D

Annoying isn't it? Real bummer. Ah well, rerender and leave a pixel of nipple showing, see if they spot it! ;)
